The Audrey Silva company on Saturday July 19, 2014 held the final callback auditions for its upcoming film noir feature film; La Femme Anjola. Up for grabs were the roles of leading man; Dejare and female support; Nikky. In attendance were several of Nollywood’s new faces including; Okey Uzoeshi, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Kehinde Bankole, Belinda Effah, Wole Ojo, Mary Lazarus, Uzor Osimkpa and Kiki Omeli.
Rounding up the list were Stan Nze, Deyemi Okanlanwon, Adesua Etomi, Enyinnia Nwigwe, Shawn Faqua, Seun Ajayi, Dan Ugoji, Damilare Kuku, Tunji Aderibigbe and Demola Adedoyin. Panelists for the final callbacks were Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu; MNET’s First Regional Director (West-Africa) and Mildred Okwo; Creative Director of the Audrey Silva company.
The six hour long auditions kicked off at noon, and saw monologue presentations from all the actors. This concluded the auditions for the females and male actors who impressed the judges moved on to phase two. This involved re-enacting a scene from La Femme Anjola with Rita Dominic. The judges were impressed with the level of talent on display as several of the actors brought their A-game.
TASC is expected to officially announce successful actors for the roles of Dejare and Nikky within the next few days.
