The Audrey Silva Company is a leading Nigerian film company founded by 2 industry veterans Producer and Director Mildred Okwo and Star Actress and Producer Rita Dominic. TASC has in a short time has gained massive media support, high visibility and great audience patronage for embarking on innovative projects.

TASC’s main objective is to birth quality content inspired by Africa which have strong universal appeal and increases the stakes for fans of African content around the world.

MILDRED OKWO

Mildred Okwo is a respected Nigerian film Director and Producer whose films have been nominated and won several prestigious awards including AMVCA, AMAA, NMA and “Publix du Prix” at Nollywood Paris.

A former Los Angeles litigation lawyer, her film “The Meeting” was one of the top box-office draws of 2012 and set a quality standard for new Nollywood films in the country. Mildred shot her first film 30 Days in 2005. The film received 9 AMAA nominations. 

In 2016, Okwo was named one of “50 Women Shaping Africa” by influential international women’s magazine Elle Magazine and 100 Most influential people in Nigeria by Y’Naija.com. She is a founding member of the Nigerian Oscar Selection committee and was recently featured in a BBC documentary about female Film Directors in Nigeria. 

Okwo has served as jury member for Aswan Women’s International Film Festival, Africa Movie Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), Africa International Film festival (AFRIFF) and Golden Movie Africa Awards.

Mildred’s has currently finished filming her 4th feature film Project “La Femme Anjola”, a neo noir film with an African twist. The film is set in Lagos and Cape town and stars Rita Dominic, Mumbi Maina and Nonso Bassey.

RITA DOMINIC

Ms. Dominic is multiple award-winning actress, producer, and Co-Founder of The Audrey Silva Company. Her first starring role was in the Nollywood hit movie A Time To Kill in 1998. Since then, she has become known for her ability to thoroughly embody characters and continues to receive critical acclaim for her portrayal of iconic roles.  

The youngest of four children, Rita was born into the Royal Nwaturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise in Imo State. She started acting in local television dramas at the age of 5 and graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a BA in Theatre Arts before joining the Nigerian film industry

Rita is best known for her roles in the groundbreaking films “76”, The Meeting and Shattered for which she won several prestigious Awards. She is the only actress to have won the AMVCAs Best Actress award in both the Drama and Comedy categories. She is also the only West African actress to have won Kenya’s Kalasha Awards. Undisputedly one of Africa’s biggest movie stars, CNN describes her as a ‘Silver screen icon’, “embodying a range of colorful characters”.

 In 2018, Rita was appointed by the Afrexim Bank to be an IATF Goodwill Ambassador. She has been the face or Ambassador of several global brands in Nigeria.
